Happy New Year! January is one of our busiest months because of Naples’ warm sunshine, beautiful beaches, luxury shopping and fine dining. If your winter is a little damp and cold, we invite you to defrost on Florida’s Paradise Coast where the average temperature is 75 degrees Fahrenheit. As you are making your travel plans, here are some ideas to start the New Year in good health and comfort.

After the impacts of Hurricane Ian, many of Naples’s beaches had to be temporarily closed due to health and safety concerns but fortunately, two of our favorite beaches opened just in time for the holidays. Clam Pass Park and Vanderbilt Beach are now open for visitors and residents! Walk along the beach coast and inhale the fresh air that will surely keep you energized and healthy for the year.

Feast your eyes with over a hundred art displays at the Naples New Year’s Art Show from Saturday, January 7 at 10:00 am – Sunday, January 8 at 5:00 pm. Hosted by Naples Art Association, this event invites 200+ artists from across the country to display their artwork along 5th Avenue South. It is perfect for everyone who appreciates the arts.

Do you have a passion and love for jewelry? Tanya Farah, a jewelry designer will be having a personal appearance at the Marissa Collections in 3rd Street South, Naples on Tuesday, January 17 at 10:00 am – Saturday, January 21, at 6:00 pm. Tanya Farah began her jewelry design career with a vision to create unique and exquisitely detailed pieces that interpret her life’s journey and the journeys of the women who wear them. Get to know more about her and her stunning pieces featuring 18K of gold, diamonds, and other precious gemstones.

Attention dog lovers! Look at some cutely dressed dogs and puppies taking their strut at the 14th Annual Pets on Third | Pet Parade & PetFest hosted by Third Street South and Neapolitan Enterprises. Prizes will be awarded to the best-dressed pets who followed the 2023 theme “Storybook Pets: People & Pets in books”. The event will be held on Sunday, January 22 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Third Street South. 100% of the proceeds raised will be donated to the Humane Society Naples.

If you’re a nature-lover looking for a greener activity, visit the Gordon River Greenway Park in Naples.  The 140-acre Gordon River Greenway Park offers visitors the opportunity to view wildlife and gain an appreciation for Southwest Florida’s natural beauty. The boardwalk trails are perfect for people who enjoy passive recreational activities such as walking, jogging, and biking while being one with nature. This activity will help keep your mind at ease and gives you time away from the stressful city life.
